2017 Scheduling and Payment Changes
As of January 2017 all properties are scheduled based on Supra or lockbox entry and with a general range of times (ie: arrival between 10:00 and 1:00) rather than specific appointment time. This way properties can be routed and grouped efficiently to avoid excessive back and forth driving. It is also beneficial in the event of a middle-of-the-day cancellation. Best of all, it makes it easier on listing agents and homeowners so no one has to interrupt their day. Supra key entry was by far the number one request from agents in 2016.
Payment is now being done exclusively through secure credit card payment. We must have a valid credit card in order to schedule a photography appointment. We can no longer bill for later payment by check. For convenience we can keep a credit card on file and charge when the property is photographed. Our credit card processing is safe and secure.
Scheduling an appointment:
– Call, text, or email to schedule a day for your property shoot. All properties are scheduled Monday-Friday between 8:30 and 3:00.
– We’ll confirm availability and give you a general time frame for the shoot (ie, “Between 9 and 12”).
– We MUST have a valid credit card on file before we can travel to your listing location.
– Property must be on SUPRA or combo lockbox, and ready for photography when the photographer arrives.
– We deliver your photos by email, usually the next business day.
Helpful scheduling tips:
Next day booking is sometimes possible, but the closer you get to the specific shoot date the less likely it is that we have an available opening. For best results schedule several days ahead of time.
Try not to be married to a specific day for your photo shoot. Try to have a two to three day flexibility for scheduling. If possible, we will photograph on a specific day, but we schedule properties by area for any given day. For example St. Charles one day, St. Louis the next, and so on. Because of this, we may not be available in your listing’s area on a specifically requested day. The earlier you book, the more likely we can accommodate your request.
It is not necessary for an agent or homeowner to be present at the time of the shoot. However, the home must be clean and ready for photography (the photographer is not allowed to move any items or do any spot cleaning) and all pets must be contained. MARIS does not allow people or pets to be in the photos.
Be aware that scheduling a Friday shooting day will result in photos delivered on Monday (next business day) unless you choose same day delivery for an additional $25. If you require photos for a weekend listing, be sure to schedule the shoot no later than Thursday in order to get your photos on time!
Most property shoots last between 30 and 60 minutes. If on-the-spot cleaning, moving, or other non-photographer induced delays extend the appointment time longer than one hour, an additional charge of $75/hour applies.
Be sure to call or text 636-345-1948 at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel the appointment. A $75 destination fee applies for any appointments canceled the day of the shoot or if the photographer makes the trip to the property but is not able to photograph it for any reason.
Typically a shoot includes the front and back exterior and the major living areas of the home. Interior areas include the kitchen, living room/great room, dining room, bedrooms, master bath, and family areas of a finished lower level. Unfinished areas, small closets, garages, and various small areas are generally not included.
Pets and People
Pets and residents are never included in a photo. Please be sure that all pets are contained at the time of the shoot.
Photo Rights, Usage and Delivery
Photos are delivered via email, typically the next business day. A CD is available for an additional $15, mailed to your office or home.
Photos are delivered in .jpg format sized to approximately 1000 pixels on the longest side. This is ideal for web use (Maris limits photos to 400 pixels long) and large enough to print the photos up to 4X6 inches in brochures, postcards, and other marketing print materials. Higher resolution files are available for an additional charge.
Usage rights are licensed to the homeowner or real estate agent for unlimited use in web, broadcast or print marketing during the sale of the home. This license may not be transferred. Ownership of photos is retained by Pro Home Photo and may be used for marketing and portfolio purposes.
